After hearing about this US TV show (it recently won an award here in France) I watched the first 15 minutes of Elegant Universe and liked it very much. As many of you are American, I guess some might have seen this on TV.
Should I buy the DVD? (it's not very expensive - 20$ I think)
Can I read your American DVDs here in France?

It's Ok, I am very much into redundant things these days, and I don't have much time/energy for reading complicated books - I have only read 100 pages of the other book you recommended me (the one by Douglas Hofstadter), although I like it very much.

I enjoyed it for a while, but it's pretty redundant/superficial after the first 15 minutes.
The book (by the same name) might be more worth your money, I think. He's not the best writer, but it's much more in depth.
