my sea-monkeys are still, erm, there, but most have died, there's just 2 of them hanging in there, but doing well still! no baby sea-monkeys for months though, so i think they'll be extinct soon.

ok, computer fucked last night, those things, sea monkeys and copepods are all crustacea,
ugly sea monster efforts or tadpole shrimps are TRIOPS (I had some and was too scared to hatch)
ugly sea monkeys or brine/fairy shrimp are ARTEMIA (blurgh)
copepods are just weird little microcrustacea

I'm pretty sure given the pictures that they're fairy shrimp (and I now fairy shirmp have egg cysts that can last years and even can be blown in the wind half way around the world). I don't think copepods get that big. |

they're just copepods aren't they? ordinary boring ugly zooplankton, or are copepods smaller? I can't remember, that stuff was boring, I lived with marine zoologists though, I'm going to call the copepod girl and ask her

I got given something similar, they were called sea monsters and it said they grew up to 3 inches in length, I was too scared to grow them, they looked like face hugger on the label and I just knew they'd escape
