I was wondering if there is something free that I can use to convert FLAC to mp3 and where I might be able to find it?
I see all the cool torrents available and feel bad for asking for a poorer quality format after all the work people put in to making them the best they can be.
If I had something that would convert then I could just do it myself rather than ask other people to do it for me. Does anybody have any suggestions?

dbpoweramp is a good one for a straight conversion.
thats the one i use for any flac > mp3.
but i use FLAC frontend for encoding the wavs to flac

Thanks to both of you for your suggestions. After being initially confused I managed to use FLAC frontend with no problems, so I'll stick to using that from now on.

I use FLAC frontend to convert to wav and you can then use any sound converter to do the wav -> mp3 job. |
