How did you record the show without getting totally stoned? I've never seen so much pot as at a Soul Coughing show.

Posted - 05/23/2007 : 16:09:53 great... if you upload these to sendspace, would you mind me uploading them to dime for spreading to the masses?
also, there are a few settings that need to be used to set up EAC correctly. there's a good guide here: http://users.pandora.be/satcp/eac00.htm# (this guide is quite long and involved, but it's very thorough and you only ever need to do the setting up bit once)
also another (better) place to get FLAC frontend from: http://flac.sourceforge.net/download.html
and here's a tutorial on using FLAC frontend: http://wiki.etree.org/index.php?page=FlacFrontend

Keep us updated, yeah. |

Posted - 05/23/2007 : 12:08:25 styme, excellent news.
these instructions are for creating lossless copies of your shows which i'm most interested in.... what you could do is extract the wav files from the cdr's with Exact Audio Copy (http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/eac6.html), then encode into flac with FLAC Frontend (http://members.home.nl/w.speek/flac.htm). then you could just upload to sendspace.com where we can all download it..... or if you're a member of dimeadozen.org, you could upload them there, but you will also need to create a md5 file with MD5 Summer (http://www.md5summer.org/) and a info text file with all info about the show - ie tracklisting and lineage...
or, i'd be very happy to do all this work for you if you wanna send the cdr's to me.
