hey.
i was reading somewhere that there are more recordings from the bbc sessions that were never included on the Pixies at the BBC disc.
there were 4(?) sessions total and the CD is just choice tracks from these sessions...
does anybody have the others?
i have a few live recordings and a couple of dvds i could possibly trade for said 'missing' BBC songs.
or does anybody know how i could get hold of them?
cheers
kepeb.

indeed. seemed very odd to leave some off when they would have all fitted very nicely on one cd...

Here are the extra BBC tracks (I never understood why they weren't on "Pixies at the BBC" !) :

so...
is it wrong to ask for this?... it is a bootleg i guess.
i would like the tracks tho, not seriously bothered about lossless encodings and such, a reasonable mp3 of each would be cool.
its just for curiosity really
i'm Not out to collect every single live show recording or some specific list of obscure tapes from x date at x place.
Truth is i have bought pretty much everything with FB or the Pixies name on original, including that first terrible book and 'maximum pixies' as they were released, just because i could.

Any of you guys that have it fancy mailing me explaining the exact copyright infringements i would be making,.. were(perish the thought)any of you to attatch them in an e-mail to me?

as a fellow long time FB and Pixies fan... pretty please?
kev.

p.s.
thank you so far to:

yeah, there are quite a few songs that were left off the BBC album...
and they are all on rough diamonds...
it is an excellent bootleg....obviously alot of the recordings are not as good as on the official bbc album, but they are complete...was the first pixies bootleg i got and is still the best one....

I seem to remember in the FTP days that there was about 6-8 more songs that weren't on the actual bbc album. Someone on this board used to have 'em

I could talk myself to death, but I believe I would only waste my breath.

Some of them appears on the "Rough Diamonds" bootleg, those songs are: tame, into the white, wave of mutilation (electric), allison, palace of the brine and motorway to roswell. I don't know if more songs were recorded, oh and there are also two Black Francis solo songs with a drum machine (like is she weird) which are velouria and hang on to your ego.

I have that bootleg on a crappy and very used tape, so a lossless copy of the bootleg would be a nice upgrade.

News to me, though I suppose not surprising. If you do track them down I'd be quite interested in knowing what they are/hearing them. Good luck!
