                | benji | Posted - 04/19/2006 : 05:05:46 hey, does anyone here have the original shn fileset for this show?
i've got a cd, which thru some investigations, seem to have been made from the original shn files which were seeded on sharingthegroove back in the day. i want the original shn files.
this is a phenomenal show, and i was going to seed on dime, but can't when i think it's a re-rip.

 thanks ccuadros. fingers crossed.
but fbc, yousendit ain't an option for me for something that size - my connection can't handle anything from that site thats larger than 50MB. if i can track it down, i'll be in for a good old snail-mail trade.

I was thinking after I made my post, I don't have a clue about FLAC files and the like. I just let Bits On Wheels do it's thing and i'm left with a folder full of quality music.

 Good luck with the search

                | benji | Posted - 04/21/2006 : 02:25:23 good question.
my intention was to upload it to dimeadozen and they don't like re-ripped cd's cause of the errors that can come into the files through the ripping process. but more importantly, the original shn's will always be considered a better lineage than with a re-rip, and they are subsequently not allowed to be seeded since someone will have the originals somewhere.

                | fbc | Posted - 04/19/2006 : 13:06:05 Basically, the sound is the dog's bolloc*ks. An individual song won't be, say, 4mb. Instead it'll be 20-30mb, so you can imagine the size of a concert. Good luck YouSending it, you may need it. (don't quote me on any of this)

I have it too and I'd be happy to pass it along but I don't know what a "original shn fileset" is or whether that's what I have.

it's an extension of a loseless audio format, like flac files.
