Does anyone know where I could find The Records' version of "Here comes your man?" I don't usually like cover tunes, but I was impressed with The Records because of the quality of the songs they did on their own in the 80s. I figured those guys could record a decent Pixies cover since they wrote songs like "Starry Eyes" and "Teenarama."

The cover tune first appeared online a while back and I wasn't sure. I went to http://www.therecords.org (The official website for The Records), and I couldn't find this song on their own merchandise. I know that The Records have a number of albums from UK that still haven't been re-issued. It it is a tribute disc, then they may not have it to sell on their own.

What I like most about The Pixies and The Records is that they've stayed so independent, without "selling out" to the big leagues. Some artists will always be "down to earth" and still able to rock the clubs. As they say, tribute discs are the purest form of flattery.

I'm sensing the next post will contain the words 'Paul', 'Collins' and 'Beat'.
