Posted - 09/20/2004 : 08:01:22 hi. i was wondering if anyone knew how to play the cool lead parts joey plays during the live version of in heaven on the reunion tour. it does't sound hard but i'm pretty new to playing guitar and i was having trouble tabbing it so if anyone here could help me out i would really appreciate it. thanks.

Posted - 09/22/2004 : 17:20:12 my pleasure. it is a rough version, and every time i listen to the disc live recordings (brixton june 2,3,4,5-fine line april 13) i change my mind. i have a feelin joey plays the chords somewhere else but similar notes. the 'little riff instead of the joey™' could be different. hop[e it sorta points in the right direction though.

Posted - 09/22/2004 : 14:42:01 thats amazing! thanks very much. the lead bit sounds spot on, especially the bit over the singin and franks guitar. thanks a lot for typing it up, i really appreciate it.

Posted - 09/22/2004 : 11:15:47 heres what i play to the Brixton 4th June gig.
introduction.. e-----0------0-----10--- b-----0------9------0---- g-----9------9------7---- d-----9------9------9----
play each one once and let ring, then...
e----------14----------------14-------- b-----17------17------17-------17---
little bendy bit joey™
then Kim starts singing, at the start of each "in heaven..." play these individually like the beginning chords
e-----0------7-----10--- b-----0------0------0---- g-----9------9------7---- d-----9------9------9----
then repeat joey™
when drums and Franks acoustic start playing little lead work is
g-------9-----12------14---
then little riff instead of joey™ is...
e------------7--- b------------0---- g--------9------- d----9-----------
i tried tabbin the Fine Line gig but think its pretty similar to this. the notes are pretty spot-on(ish, i think) but might be played higher up the fret board. cant remember where he played it when i saw him so dont quote me on this tab.
let me know what you think. |
