Posted - 05/02/2004 : 19:48:37 Hello there,
I am terrible at picking out strum patterns for chord progressions. Can anybody help me with the strum pattern for Where Is My Mind? I am a relative beginner and am finally comfortable with all of the different barre-chord shapes. I think I am close, but on some songs I just can't pick out the full proper patterns? Help...please
Thanks all,
Greg |

Posted - 05/10/2004 : 10:44:10 Look at how he strums on the dvd. The first part is quite simple, but how he strums the barre A-chord is just crazy. He places his ring- and little finger on/off and on the strings. I play this song for about ten years but I've never managed to play it like he does.
As with all other songs he plays accoustically...

first chord: up 1234 (all down i think) and an up before changing chord rest of the chords: 1234 up
that's how i do it anyway. the up on the others might jsut be a mute inbetween changes though. |

But if this helps out...
-It's in 4/4 time. -The first strum from Frank is on the upbeat -You don't start the first measure as soon as you hear Frank's guitar. It's the upbeat strum, and then it's 1 2 3 4 ...
