Kia Ora Sam,

Beautiful guitar, mate. And I’m sure she sounds just as good as she looks.

Good to see yet another Kiwi here.

By the way, we have a New Zealand guitar forum thing going on down here in The Land of the Long White Cloud, well two actually, a New Zealand one and an international one, so you qualify for both, don’t you?

Guitar talk, amps, pedals, playing, listening, tabs, gigs, reviews, classifieds, Dogs Bollix (Bar and Grill in the international version), The Devils Hand – you know, all the regular stuff.

Share your experiences with learning, playing, practising, recording, performing, whatever.

Pickups, strings, picks, to whammy or not to whammy, dropping your tunings (and picking them up again afterwards so no one will trip over them), Best Current Kiwi band [Poll], and anything else you want to inflict on the other members.

Everyone’s welcome. Even drummers.

New Zealand link: [ http://nzguitars.com/ ].

International link: [ http://www.guitarsforum.com/ ].

Peace.

Peace, Love and Thud.

Kenny-Sue.

I love my RED SG. Yours looks cool, too. SG fans be sure to check out http://www.everythingsg.com
I have sent them pics of Rich Gilbert and Dave Phillips over the years as celebrities who play SG's. (See celebrity section).

Is the other guitar an Epiphone PR 350ME?
I've got one of those too and I just love it. The only thing is that the original strings are a bit thin. I've put other string on it now .

Don't worry, Robin! I'll use my trusty Bat-Guitar!!

I've never been a big fan of the SG's, but that one looks pretty sweet. Best of luck with it. I'll post a picture of my new Squire Telecaster when I get it: one picture after I bring it home from the store, and another picture of it after I've installed a keyboard by the bridge!

Now THAT is ugly... I'd almost be afraid to cut myself on it while I was playing

Now that's what I'd call an "axe"!

Heh heh heh

I felt the same way when I went in the store two days ago. I knew I wanted a Gibson SG, but I didn't want a red one (everyone has a red one), then I saw this one.... and I had to have it....

Officially its a Platinum color. You can read more about it on the Gibson site here: http://www.gibson.com/products/gibson/sg/SGSpecial.html, or read about the specific model here (pdf): http://www.gibson.com/products/gibson/sg/Platinumdatasheet.pdf

At first I was like "oh, it's just going to be another SG."

But, MAN, that is a nice looking fuckin' SG! Congrats. Now just work a little more on your rock star poses, and you might do it some justice! (j/k man)

I'm thinking about buying a Les Paul Special myself, fairly soon...I wonder if they come in that cool gray-chrome color?

Nice looking axe. I don't think I've seen an SG in that color. May you have many years of happy noisemaking with it!
