Also, don't think Frank would be that lazy to cadence out on a G, then a D, then a G and then just another form of D, there'd be zero tension there. I'd bet the farm that after the bar of G on "helped me to see", he turns that into a G7 for two beats and then the bass drops to F# on that same chord for two more beats, making G7/F#. So both the F in G7 and the F# bass drop down to E for the chorus; classical it ain't, but who cares when it's that tasty. Guitar voicing that sounds best to this ear is: G7: 353463 G7/F#: 25x46x -- Allen Ginsberg says you got no soul. The ancient Egyptians say you got seven of these bastards, and Pharaohs got fourteen, what they get for being Pharaohs.
