Posted - 06/14/2007 : 07:01:41 Ok..well this is the rough chords that i figured out in about 40 mins
a few things to note
- My ear is terrible when it comes to minors and anything with detail - i know the A should be a bar chord formation etc. - Im terrible with lyrics - Im terrible with tabs.
Why do i post then? Well hopefully one of the many awesome tabbers will use this base as inspiration to complete the song for me :)
It sounds to me like he is doing that chord where a C# formation will have a G# played on the E6 as an example..no idea what its called.. (Eg. Below) e------ B--5--- G--6--- D--6--- A--4--- E--4---
------------------------------------------
INTRO:
rattling E6 String
VERSE:
A Bm If you're sour F# E D E D cos some people tried to take away all your power A Bm If you're bruised F D E D cos they hit you when you refused..
BRIDGE:
c# Bm A E Well thats the deal, you never heal F# C# So best to hold your ground C# Bm A E F# You get your bone when you get flown in the dark town
CHORUS:
C# Bm A C# D E They cant touch me now --- Lolita... (x3)
If you get kicked out cos they dont want you to mess about
Well Thats the deal turn your prayer wheel, and watch it go around You get straight flush, you feel the rush Then you come down
(Chorus)
Have no shame, if theres nothing left, If theres nothing left in the (??)
(Chorus) (some more outro chords that i am not figuring out right now) |

Posted - 10/22/2007 : 16:16:23 I thought the lyric was "you get your bone, then you get thrown in the dog pound" and the reason is that bone is presumably drugs and the dog pound is jail - you take drugs, then you end up in jail. I might be way off the mark here, but that's what I took from the lyrics. What would it mean if you get your bone once you're already in the dog pound?
If time's a drug then Big Ben's a giant needle injecting it into the sky. |

Posted - 08/04/2007 : 10:50:08 If the G# you mention is the "well that's the deal" part, from the footage i've seen it looks like Charles Normal plays it as a single note between the A and F#m, hence the A/G# (or is it G#/A) in my other post. Not as an actual G#. Watch the Paradiso version.
--x-- --2-- --2-- --2-- --x-- --4--
i could be wrong, i usually am. |

Posted - 08/04/2007 : 06:20:44 i'm sure that at least the first F# is minor
"Idiot" is just her sig. |

Posted - 08/04/2007 : 03:49:53 another minor adds:
IŽd say that after D (0-0-0-2-3-2) comes a Dsus2 (0-0-0-2-3-0)
and maybe the G# is played (0-2-2-2-0-0) which also could work for the "they canŽt touch me now":
--0--0--0--0--1-- --2--0--0--3--3-- --2--2--2--2--2-- --2--2--2--0--0-- --0--0--2--0--0-- --0--0--0--x--x-- |

Posted - 08/04/2007 : 01:41:27 Hi. And nice. I'm still undecided about the whole sequence but the world keeps spinning. Trial and error. We'll get there in the end.
I'm quite sure the last chord includes XX3231 |

Posted - 08/03/2007 : 11:47:53 Hi again. IŽd say all F# are minors, I have doubts with the G#. my opinion.
Also I play the "they can't touch me now..." bit like this:
--0--0--0--0--1-- --2--0--0--3--3-- --2--2--1--2--2-- --2--2--2--0--0-- --0--0--2--0--0-- --0--0--0--x--x-- |

Posted - 07/29/2007 : 09:20:57 Like Motorway to Roswell, Ziggy. The G# verse chord; major or minor? |
fbc |
Posted - 07/29/2007 : 09:18:43 Yeah, i fought over that one for at least a good two minutes. It makes sense as a minor considering the two chords it follows but I dunno, there's just something about it. The fact the minor makes so much sense has me thinking it's a major instead. And because I deliberated over it for no less than two minutes makes me think it's... you guessed it... major.
it's a minor innit, Black? |

Posted - 07/29/2007 : 06:49:00 I'd make it an F#m before 'cos some people...'
great tab! |

Posted - 07/28/2007 : 12:30:51 i'm not a big fan of the champers but i do drink it when it's free ;)
A Bm
If you're sour
F# E D E D
cos some people tried to take away all your power
A Bm
If you're bruised
F# D E D
cos they hit you when you refused..
BRIDGE:
A A/G# F#m E
Well thats the deal, you never heal
Bm C#m
So best to hold your ground
C#m Bm A E Bm C#m
You get your bone when you get flown in the dark town
The "they can't touch me now..." bit:
--x--x--x--x--1-- --2--2--2--5--3-- --2--4--2--4--2-- --2--2--2--2--3-- --0--0--0--0--x-- --------------------- or
--x--x--x--x--1-- --2--2--2--5--3-- --2--4--2--2--2-- --2--2--2--2--3-- --4--2--0--0--x-- ------------------- or...
the middle chords are still a little iffy but what the hey! sounds alright to me. |

Posted - 06/16/2007 : 03:38:28 good stuff, raasclaat. definately base for my inspiration, so much so, i'm gonna learn how to play this one.
i think the verse F# is a minor, and the chorus D is a minor, too.
The "they can't stop me now" is a feckin bitch to work out. |

Posted - 06/14/2007 : 07:13:42 You've got to add [ code ] and [ /code ] (without spaces) if you want to keep your spacing. Like this:
A Bm
If you're bruised
F# D E D
cos they hit you when you refused..
