Pimp my Jag!

I wouldn't know, mcil, Doog might.
I've been thinking about this thread for ages now, and I'm so glad you got yourself one. Join the club.

Right, I hijacked this thread a while ago for my cause of buying a Jaguar... which I only got round to a minute ago.

originally ordered it from www.guitars.co.uk as Homers suggested, was the cheapest I could find at 480, that fell through earlier today when they emailed me saying they couldn't accept my Visa Electron. What a lot of balls. So, off I went to eBay, and I got one for 509.99 inc. P&P. Rather chuffed I am.

Now, you lot were going on about the bridges on Jaguars being of a poor standard. On eBay they have these:

Worth an investment?

I've owned a 68 330 for years. Love it, can't put it down. However, it can be a feed back monster, and you can really feel the air come in and out of the f holes if you are cranking it. If you don't mind turning down the guitar volumes, you can get a great Byrds or Buffalo Springfield sound. Turn up the volume pots on the guitar and you may find yourself constantly adjusting to take the edge off.

I woiuld guess aleft handed is the same as right handed, only cooler.

I think I'll buy it from that site Homers, thanks a lot. I love the red ones, and ont he other site they only had white, so I'll just spend the extra £40 or whatever it is, I love the red head especially:)

Sorry for hijacking the Gibson 330 thread by the hoo

The Jag bridge tends to move a lot, throwing the thing out of tune.

Try these. I have bought from them three times and never had any problems. They are really helpful and pretty cheap too.

somebody's got a bargain. i'd happily pay between 4 to 5 hundred of your money, mcil.
and definately think about investing in a new bridge when you get yourself one of the little beauts.

mmm.....curves.

Tell me about it. £580 for a jap reissue? That better come with a mustang bridge, and a free pick. And petrol money home. And...

Don't buy from Sound Control, they are ripp-off merchants. Buy online from elsewhere.

Ebay is always worth a look.

I'm away to buy a Jaguar as well:D
I'm hardly an expert on all the specs and stuff though, but maybe someone can help me:
In sound Control they are like £580, but after looking on the internet for them, I found them on Dolphin Music for £430 - I'd post a link but can' get on the site for some reason
Anyhoo, are the same guitar or should I ust wait another week and buy it from Sound Control?
