It seems like FB used these for most of the Catholics stuff, but I was wondering which ones he used. AC30 or AC15s? Thanks

Even a 15w tube amp is gonna be pretty loud, it could easily keep up with a drummer. And you'd need to have the master on 5 to get any real powertube distortion (which is what make tube amps sound nice).

But I guess if you had to have a tube Vox combo, the AC15 would be more fitting for a home player than the AC30, yes.

Because it's the not the grand's worth of tubey goodness that the AC30 is. That said, Vox have started making AC reissues in China for half of what the vintage ones sell for. Quality is supposed to be pretty good too, aside from some shaky first production line models.

I have a Pathfinder. To be honest, it doesn't have a particularly strong sound.
