Here is my attempt at transcribing the solo from Thalassocracy, which was played by Lyle Workman, I believe.

Tune down to Eflat.

I have a better copy in "real tab" if anyone is interested.

I revised the end of the tab a little bit. The second to last bar concludes with triplets, I believe.

I use two main tools: Logic Audio, which is a recording program for computers like Protools or Cakewalk) that allows you to slow the music down by 40%; and a cheap hand-held, variable speed dictaphone (like $40). The dictaphone works great for solos--you record the solo at full speed, then play it back at half speed (of course you need to play the notes an octave above what you hear at half speed). And I've been playing guitar off and on for 20 years, which helps. I have the powertab addition, if you would like--much easier to read. Powertab is a free download (see the link at the end of the transcription).

The bends in measure 11 are pretty wicked. I use .11 gauge strings, and I can't do these bends at speed now. I suppose you could (and maybe Lyle might) move the notes up one half step, and bend up only a half step to make it easier. If you have a vibrato bar, you could transpose the notes up a whole step and just use the bar for vibrato.

I'm not sure why the tab lines come out uneven when posted--they look fine before "submit reply" is tapped. If any computer savvy person can help, please do.

Thanks
