According to Cooking Vinyl, the release is now penned in for 4th October - 'BUT that is not certain – since the Pixies thing is going so well it gets pushed back as there is some work that Charles needs to do on it'.

The last I heard from Cooking Vinyl the release date had been set at the 18th of October.

That is correct, FBF will be released on October 12th here in Canada. I believe it will be the same day in the USA on spinART also. Last time I spoke to someone in their office that was the planned release date. Of course, dates are always subject to change.
We are taking pre-orders through sonicunyon.com for the title now also.

Sonic Unyon has it on their web site with a release date of 2004-10-12, for $15.99. That's like 25 cents, US. |

but with 5 releases waiting
(2 b-sides, 1 pixies album, fbf, honeycomb)
I'm getting a bit tired and too excited you know

You know I believe in Frank as well. I just wish that all these planned releases were a little more planned with a little more info to ease our minds as to what's really happening and when we might really see them released. We could have had FBF when, in like April, if it wasn't pushed back? I so want to be listening to Honeycomb already.

I can't wait to get his either. To at least hear somehting different, but man am I pissed about all these delays on everything he had planned. I have grown bored with the Pixies reunion and you would think that SpinArt or Frank could have supplied release dates for Honeycomb and the B-Sides as well so we know how long we have to wait. I personally don't want to wait until next Summer/Fall for either of these so here's for hoping for a winter release as soon as the reunion is done. It would be great to see the B-Sides for Christmas and Honeycomb in February.

FBF will be an interesting release, although I am a bit skeptical on re-interpretations of Pixies songs with some techno dudes. I'm hanging out for Honeycomb and the double Catholics album. Pan American Highway is one of my favourite songs, although never made it to an album. Finally it'll see the light of day on the double album. The covers disc will be cool as well, wasn't that what FB wanted to do as his first solo album? |

But why is it still just called Demos? and is Frank really releasing this as "Black Francis"?
I trust Amazon's release dates about as much as I'd trust a termite to sell me a rocking chair, but it would be nice to look forward to another FB release.

I was really peeved by the continuous delay of this album, but now I'm kind of happy that I'll have a new FB release to ease me through the beginning of the school year...
