Posted - 04/15/2021 : 13:08:09 This slipped past my radar when it was released in February, but Lyle dropped an album recorded with a 63 piece orchestra at Abbey Road, and oh mama, it’s something else. It’s called Uncommon Measures.
Totally over the top in all the right ways. Ultra, ultra fusiony. Think Mahavishnu’s Apocalypse but more successfully executed and more exciting.
I’m still in a “taking it all in” phase with it. It’s not a new idea, but it’s rare in attempted tries, and even rarer in pulling it off. It’s one thing to try something like this, but to also knock it out of the park... Impressive.
I had a bad reaction to your public hobby writings. |

Posted - 04/15/2021 : 21:12:55 I'm curious about that... Thanks for the advice. Also, recently I came accros a radio broadcast of "Everyone Is Wrong" a song credited to Lyle Workman and performed by FB & the Catholics when he was still part of it. Do any of you have more information about this song and why Frank Black chose to sing it?
