Meant to post some of these a while ago... anyway, here's a thread for any news articles and reviews concerning the Bluefigner opera.

Houston Press - Bluefinger on Broadway?

Houston Press - Bluefinger: Meeting Your Man.

Houston Press - Capsule Stage Reviews: Bluefinger: The Fall and Rise of Herman Brood, The Little Dog Laughed, The Nutcracker.

Chron.com - Bluefinger rides a troubled wave of rock 'n' roll excess.

Houston Press - Bluefinger: The Manager.

CultureMap Houston - Catastrophic's Bluefinger brings to life the man who might have been king of rock 'n' roll.

CultureMap Houston - Houston's definitive holiday art guide: The cultural treats of the season.

Houston Press - In Case You Got Stoned And You Missed It...

Arguably Houston's hottest band right now, Roky Moon & BOLT announced a free show
December 18 at Fitzgerald's to make up for the blown PA at last Saturday's CD release at
tthe Mink. So far Indian Jewelry, Woozy Helmet, Leg Sweeper, Benjamin Wesley,
Generation landslide, DJ Meshak and some of the musicians from Catastrophic Theatre's
hit musical Bluefinger are also on the bill. Happy birthday to us.

CultureMap Houston - A $1 million Holiday Shopping Card Victory, international deb ball & tequila tasting are social stars.

Partying like rock stars

That would be Bevin and Dan Dubrowski, who threw a tequila tasting
and Mexican feast at their abode on Saturday night, entertaining a passel
of friends with Blue Agave and Devin's home cooking. Guests were
advised to dress like rocks stars for the evening that continued with a bus
trip to Diverseworks for a production of Bluefinger, the new rock opera
created by Catastrophic Theater.

After the rock opera, guests returned to the Dubrowski digs for more
partying. In the way cool crowd were Kristen and Lee Nix, Ann and
Matthew Wolfe, John and Becca Cason Thrash, Marley Lott, Kelly
and Norman Bering, Patrick Breen and Anne Whitlock with Michael
Skelly
.

Houston Press - Capsule Stage Reviews: Bluefinger: The Fall and Rise of Herman Brood, The Heidi Chronicles, The Nutcracker.

CultureMap Houston - Kids on stage: Acting in-between homework in Houston.

I did not get to visit with Chance Bednorz who plays the young Herman
Brood in The Catastrophic Theatre's production of Bluefinger: The Fall
and Rise of Herman Brood
, but I did get to see him twice. The
rocker/junkie/artist Brood's complex character leaves us curious about his
childhood. Bednorz's short, but potent, scenes ground us in a life that had
a beginning, which was indeed charged with wonder, astonishment and a
restless imagination.
