Posted - 07/08/2009 : 13:36:25 Surprised this hasn't made it on the board yet. A new BF song, covering Love and Rockets. Pretty good, especially the layering at the end, a little reminiscent of Ft. Wayne.

Yeah good cover. Very good ending with the pop voice. He should sing more like that ending, like on the orange album. The rocking voice is a bit forced. Like on Burnt out rocknroll or other songs he made since he became Black Francis again. It's good to hear him screaming again but a bit of parsimony with the shouts woulnd hurt, the goal is not to shout all of the time!!! If you shout all of the time it looses its emotional effet, it's just loud.
he is never wrong. You just need time.
i concur

Posted - 10/06/2009 : 02:40:40 this is really an amazing song! (i wonder how many times people have said that about frank songs)
i've been listening to it consistently since it has come out in july i believe.

Posted - 10/05/2009 : 21:46:39 i've been listening to tis song a lot lately. i really like the outro, "it's all in my mind, so don't be unkind" how he's like talking and singing at the same time and you get mixed up as to which is the backing vocal. i hope he adds this to his live show.

Posted - 07/16/2009 : 00:57:03 The rocking voice sounds a bit too much I'm afraid. Violet did a great job though. Is that snare programmed? It wouldn't surprised me if V and F played all the instruments on this, don't know why I think that though.
