FRANK BLACK RECORDS EXCLUSIVE iTUNES SESSION

FRANK BLACK, who recently released his acclaimed retrospective album
"93-03," has recorded an exclusive live session for iTunes
(www.itunes.com).

Black and his band - Black (vocals/guitar), Charles Normal (guitar),
Ding (bass), and Jason Carter (drums), recorded the session on July
6, 2007 at the Rockhal Studios in Luxembourg. The five-song session,
which features two of Black's own songs alongside three cover
selections, is now available to download from iTunes.

The tracks include:
1. Re-Make/Re-Model (Roxy Music cover)
2. Massif Central
3. Manitoba
4. History Song (The Good, The Bad & The Queen cover)
5. The Black Rider (Tom Waits cover)

Frank Black's alter ego, BLACK FRANCIS, will release his new album,
"Bluefinger," on September 11. The album features 11 songs that
directly and indirectly reference the talented yet eccentric Dutch
painter/musician Herman Brood. Early reviews in the UK have been
excellent:

"'Bluefinger' marks an artistic rebirth for the king of quiet/loud."
-- Mojo

"...a superb collection of surreal yet poignant alt-rock." -- Rocksound

HISTORY SONG has somewhat of a Catholics feel to me. A great great version, Love it! Go Frank!

The Chattnooga Pulse - New Music.

A new five-track mini album of Luxembourg sessions
recorded earlier this summer (as Frank Black) is also now available exclusively
through iTunes. Three cool covers made the set: Roxy Music’s “Re-Make/Re-
Model,” Tom Waits’ “The Black Rider,” and The Good, The Bad & The Queen’s
“History Songs.”

Frank Black releases exclusive iTunes EP - 08.14.2007

Another day, another Frank Black album. Not that I'm complaining - in fact, it's pretty damn cool.
The former (?) Pixies frontman (question mark pertains to constant rumors of a new Pixies album)
can now add a live session EP to his collection, which includes album like
Frank Black Francis,
Honeycomb, and Fastman Raiderman.

The EP, recorded at the Rockhal Studios in Luxembourg back in July, is available exclusively
through iTunes and includes not only two Frank Black originals, but also three cover tunes. Like all
of Black's music, it's definitely worth checking out:

1. Re-Make/Re-model (Roxy Music)
2. Massif Central
3. Manitoba
4. History Song (The Good, The Bad & The Queen)
5. The Black Rider (Tom Waits)

Apple iTunes is not one of life’s absolute necessities, but it is the only way you can hear a handful of new tracks from ex-Pixies frontman Frank Black and his band. That’s just the way it is, ain’t no legal way around it. The five-song playlist features two Black originals and a trio of covers, one of a Tom Waits song. Surely this is just one of the oodles and oodles of things Black has in common with Scarlett Johansson.
