While checking the site of my favourite radio station here in Berlin (Radio EINS / 95,8 FM ) for any Honeycomb airplay I stumbled over this old stream.
Itīs the recording of a two hour show Frank attended in 2003 promoting SMYT.

They play lots of Pixies/Frank (and a few related) songs.
Frank is nice and relaxed in the interview parts and even performs three songs live:

'Velouria',
'Donīt Clip Your Wings' that didnt make it onto SMYT and ...
'The Shrimp Song'!!! Pretty cool, no?

Also exiting (perhaps only) for me: never heard the Pixies cover of Leonhard Cohenīs 'I canīt forget' or David Bowieīs cover of 'Cactus'.

I then got carried away a bit with my euphoria about my find and broke the show down into itīs pieces so that everyone can check it out.

Hope its not old news to you.
Enjoy

Are you serious?!? Its a two hour show!

Or are you referring to the BLD/DW-bit?

Itīs an archived RealAudio-stream. You open those with the RealPlayer.
It can be downloded for free here: http://www.real.com/
There may be other players, that support RealAudio-files, but I donīt really know.
So when you click on the 'audio'-button, you should be asked wether you want to open it with some player or save it to your disc (and then open it with the player of your choice).

I hope it works out for you, OldMan.

One of my favourite parts: Asked why he didnīt make BLD and DW one double-CD he just says "`cause Iīm a pompous ass, ... I suppose." and then gives a real explanation.

Hey Kelladwella, I'd love to hear this but I can't. Help OldMan out here and tell me how I can hear this. I've clicked on the "audio" but I'm not getting anything. Any suggestions?
