Posted - 07/12/2005 : 08:25:27 ... and the Courtney Black Rumour strikes again!

I. Ch."
"Frank Black solo, in good company Honeycomb, the new album by Frank Black, is a real surprise. Rootsy and quiet, it doesn't feature the saturated sound of the Pixies, the mythical band of the American singer and musician. The new songs sound like standards with their solid, old-fashioned melodies, influenced by soul, country or classic rock. No surprise there: they were recorded with hotshots from the legendary Stax studios. But this perfection doesn't prevent emotion, finely crafted by a musician sometimes reminiscent of Neil Young, as showed on a charming duo with Courtney Love. We'll see him again with the Pixies on August 25th a the Rock En Seine festival, in Saint-Cloud."

Hey, I did it with Les Inrocks (who'd published the "news" on their website), was that ever a waste of time (and a slightly nerdy thing to do). They plainly ignored me - left the item on the site - and then they published the article Denis posted, acknowledging Frank's denial. Sheesh. Better late than never, I guess. Still way better than writing it's Courtney after hearing the album! (Assuming they did...)
Anyway, my point is, you just can't educate them.

That's so great that you guys tried, though. I am sure Frank would appreciate that and perhaps he will read this and know of it...

Can one of you French fb.netters set the record straight with this publication?
