Posted - 02/26/2004 : 18:17:59 People seem to have the need to shout out certain requests at live shows. I doubt they rarely have much of an effect on what gets played. But what the hey, it's fun. I'm planning to shout out the non sequitor request "the Younger Bums" by the band Big Dipper at the Pixies Show in Edmonton at Reds. I suggest you join in with me if you care to.
I noticed a lot of "younger bums" at FB and the Catholics show last year. Made me feel like an old man. When I lived in the States for awhile I noticed that there wasn't such an age factor...That old music fans still kept coming to see the bands they like and joined in with the younger bums. I guess for some reason most of us Canadians retire after 30 and start listening to Bob FM. Outrageous!!!
"The younger bums, will likely out live us...likely out live us"
It's expected; I'm gone |

Posted - 10/22/2004 : 19:28:08 Trevor-How old are you anyways? I am 42 and I live in a secluded area where there are no F.B. fans of my age and I am so out of touch that I have never heard a Catholics album. I just got online and want to travel to Montreal to see the Pixies but it seems there are no tickets on ticketmaster. What is the deal? Is frank realy that popular now. I'm just so stunned. I'm freaking over the extent of the website. Are you realy gone Trevor or did you just need to vent? Hey I'm going to a show if I can find a ticket and while the younger bums are 10 stuffed in some crappy car with no heat, this old lady will take a cab from her 3* hotel.
