Posted - 04/01/2009 : 18:06:17 just got my ticket from ticketweb, only $4.25 service charges, nice. much better than ticketmaster's $10-$15 for every show.
It's a Friday, who's coming?
PS. I might hit Tacoma also if I can switch an appointment I've got scheduled for that afternoon. woot!

that looks just like the view i had for the last 5 songs or so. i was right next to the support beam. i had a comfy chair right next to the soundbooth for the first half of the show but couldn't stay sitting...

Posted - 05/03/2009 : 15:18:53 yes there was interaction. violet referred to twitter a few times saying she would follow whoever followed her. they talked a bit about the black suit song getting rejected for spiderman 3. i guess violet had her done that day cause she asked if "talia" was there and someone yelled she was in the bathroom and then violet said "i love my hair" and then charles asked if anybody from the lenscrafter at the "wooly booly mall" was there cause he forgot to pick up his glasses, so he was gonna pick them up the next morning...
i'm terrible at guessing crowd sizes so i'll say 100 people give or take with a grain of salt...
yes the holy tail feathers opened. the best i can say is - they have potential. quite a few people were there for them, they are local and seem to have a following.
what are you on about srisaket?

Posted - 05/03/2009 : 08:09:42 Thanks Shiney! I am going to bug you with a few questions: Was there any interaction or conversation with crowd or did they just play from song to song? So how many people were at the gig? Did they have an opener? |

similar setlist to the salem show, but i don't have the album yet (no where to be found in vancouver, a few stores have it on order) so i can't be sure. it seemed like more than 10 songs though, nothing i recognized from any other frank output.
they started with come on over to my house and it seemed a little tentative then played four or five songs i didn't recognize but were getting better with each tune, once they hit fort wayne (about 6 songs in) they were rolling and strange day which followed was awesome, as was break the angels. they played a couple minutes of black suit, aborted and played it again. then finished with what i assume is volcano.
i picked up a grand duchy shirt for $20 - american apparel - they had two styles to choose from an asphalt one with grand duchy with the fleur-de-lis in between (that's what i got) and a creme one with a picture of the two of them and a sunset i think and grand duchy below that. both nice shirts. i also scooped a playbill poster which is really cool, i'll try and post a photo (i've said that before). they were also selling the posters mentioned in my previous post, but i didn't want to use the bank machine again, and you can get one autographed through bf.com.
by the way, the nightlight lounge is pretty fuckin' awesome venue, sound was great, cool seating arrangements and dance floor, viewing area. and i saw a camera in the soundbooth, maybe they record everything? looked like it was permanently mounted there (i saw a red light flashing during the show, so i assume it was taping). it only took me an hour ten including border crossing so i think i'm gonna watch to see what other bands play there, maybe go down more often....

Posted - 05/01/2009 : 23:45:36 Sounds cool, thanks for the review and info. I do wonder why I live here sometimes, away from it all. And then I remember that that's the answer.
No, not really, but that sounded deep.

Posted - 04/28/2009 : 20:06:31 I'm gonna bring my seven fingers shirt and try to swap it for a smaller size. can someone let me know if they have BF/FB/GD merch or what's the what with the sellables; i don't mind stimulating the US economy a little bit. I kinda like that Violet #4 poster.
