What's with the dearth of setlists for this tour? You'd think that you guys would be running home to post them as soon as Frank hits the final notes on his telecaster. What gives?

some song that Frank said is a Bluefinger b side that I think says "keep away mouse" repeatedly.
Could this possibly have been "Get Away Oil"?

And they played a full band "Rabbit Hole"?!

Why have these passed by without any mention?

Yeah, full band Rabbit Hole was really sweet. They played it all three nights, and it seems like he's experimenting with how he wants it to sound. One night it was super distored and screamy, the others it was clean and pleasant. Where are the Catholics for this kind of material?

OK, deep breath. I've refrained from posting anything because I don't want to be all negative and piss in anyone's cereal, but personally the show wasn't worth writing anything about, and the 3 people I was with agreed.

I did enjoy Motorway, and hearing Rabbit with a full band, but the sound mix was terrible and the band not very tight. So there you go - there's probably your reason why not much has been written about the shows.

The opening band, "East Coast Champions" (hilarious name since they are from Philadelphia) sounded great. I believe they were using the house sound tech. It's been written that the Black Francis band brought their own sound guy. It was definitely a different guy than the opening band. He should be fired. It was one of the worst live sound mixes I've ever heard.

EDF was behind the sound board and looked thoroughly bored and unentertained. He's usually a pretty mellow and nice fellow. I tried to say something to him toward the end of the show like Motorway would have been better with keyboards, wink wink, but the sound guy looked like he was going to rip my throat out or something. Lighten up, yeesh. It could be that he couldn't understand what I was saying and thought I was commenting on the sound or something. Well guess what? The sound sucked ass.

The crowd cheered and seemed into the show, but I heard a lot of the same muttering about the sound from people coming out of the show. I don't think it was just me.

Qu'ils aillent se faire foutre <-- yeah, what he said.

in San Francisco the setlist was pretty much the same all three nights, save a couple songs here and there.
All of Bluefinger
some song that Frank said is a Bluefinger b side that I think says "keep away mouse" repeatedly.
Dead Man's Curve
the Water
the Rabbit song
Gyaneshwar (not played the first night)
Cactus
Break My Body (not played the second not)
Motorway to Roswell (not played the second night)
and one verse and chorus of Velouria on the second night.
