Posted - 07/31/2007 : 02:46:52 yeah, i got it all. i've been talking to the mods at dimeadozen.org and i'm going to upload it there in the next hour or so. it'll be in flv format, and not as a burnable dvd or anything, but it'll mean you can watch it whenever you want and not use all the bandwidth everytime!

Posted - 07/30/2007 : 18:14:19 ok, so here is the show as 112k mp3's. this is as it is in the webcast. so no transcoding was done at all. http://www.sendspace.com/file/99mgpb
they're also split into the individual tracks and have tags and stuff.

benji |
Posted - 07/30/2007 : 16:15:13 i'm just splitting the mp3 into tracks and and i'll upload it as soon as i've finished. it'll be ready in about an hour...

Posted - 07/30/2007 : 16:12:13 I think I need to get hold of Virtual PC. |
benji |
Posted - 07/30/2007 : 14:12:47 gapu and i kinda cover it on the previous page, but here goes for just getting the audio. download this file. it includes the crack http://www.sendspace.com/file/d4a7dm to make it work, install the software, start it up and then click on the frank concert. when the page loads and the gig begins to load the software will immediately begin to record it. if you don't start the software until the concert page is loaded it won't work. this will give you the .flv file, which is the entire concert in video.
http://www.sendspace.com/file/3tv95j this one is just for extracting the audio from the .flv file. it's very easy....

Posted - 07/30/2007 : 14:01:05 That makes sense. How do you find out the original file size again? I'm lost there. |
benji |
Posted - 07/30/2007 : 12:52:01 i know 320 sounds like it'd be better, but when the original file is just 112, doesn't make much sense in just expanding it to 320.

|

Posted - 07/30/2007 : 04:49:56 320 kbps. I just grabbed the audio while it was playing using some app and it spat it out as an AIFF file.
Your way seems much more efficient. I'm going to try it later |
benji |
Posted - 07/30/2007 : 03:19:02 fbc, what is the mp3 encoded at? just cause the original stream is 112k mp3 and if you grab the .flv stream file you can extract the mp3 file directly from that in it's original form, and that can be uploaded with no transcoding required.

Posted - 07/30/2007 : 03:09:12 Thanks fbc, nice to have this to carry around and rock out to.
As much as I love the new band, when you haven't got the manic visual aspect, something is missing, you know, guitar just doesn't have quite so much presence.
Some killer solos from Charles Normal, though! I think it's the best version of 'You Can't Break a Heart and Have It' that I've heard, and there certainly have been some brilliant versions. |

Yep, i was there, without doubt one of the top 3 gigs i've ever seen. I've seen alot of gigs, this was a real treat. Really great acoustic intro, i probably would have picked those to hear acoustic given an opputunity before hand. Starting on abstract plain was just awesome.
Wasn't it sweet? sadly i'm on the podcast, filmed irreverently swigging beer during Bullet... I was paying attention, sir... |
