Hey,

Charles Normal here. You guys have already checked out Jason Carter's www.skippyondrums.com blog site. I thought you might want to check out mine:

www.tourbloggage.blogspot.com" target="_blank">http://www.tourbloggage.blogspot.com

It's more for my benefit than for you guys, but I hope you like it anyway. It's hard to keep updating when we don't have any wi=fi connections, but we're trying our best. We're having a lot of fun out here on the road and have met several of you forum members at various shows. Everyone we've met has been very nice so far! It's cool reading your reviews (both good and bad) of our shows. Keep them coming! It's also good to see your photos and comments. I've stolen several of your photos for my blog. Hope you don't mind.

Anyway, I thought it was about time for me to post here since it feels creepy being a lurker. See you guys after the show......

Thank you for the music (to quote some fellow Scandislavians) and little insights about the Secret Project. Jävligt nyfiken på låtvalet...Are you still in Europe, accompanying Kristin on her art explorations? If so, hope you enjoyed the Max Beckman triptychs. Looking forward to the GOM CD & seeing you guys live again in one form or another.

Hi Charles, enjoyed the gig at Shepherd's Bush on sunday night. I'd travelled 280 miles down from the grim North of England (newcastle upon Tyne be exact) and enjoyed it immensely. Thought the band were great. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us and hoping for an update on the blog!
Cheers!

Hey Charles, good going. Counting the days till the London show, so please keep something in the tanks to play Bluefinger's songs with all the sex and swagger you can muster. The Empire's a good venue with good sound so it should be a really great night. See you there.

Just read through the rest of your blog, and it's good stuff. Regret the last post, but not enough to delete. Keep up the honest punk rock blogging. Cheers.

edit - what was the name of the texas punk band you found in that alley?
theonecontender Posted - 07/08/2007 : 00:18:37
"..went through the motions of soundchecking which is becoming quite boring. We played rock music again that night, and the people clapped after every song. Again. It's always the same, only the faces change."

Life is tough when the king of modern rock and roll takes you out of Washington state on a tour of European clubs and festivals playing to thousands.

Hope you feel better,
1c

by the way, I get bored when I eat tuna and noodles three days in a row.

I get the feeling you're not loving every minute of this tour, Senor Normal.

"I'd would like to review the shows for you here, but I'm slightly biased so it wouldn't be an objective, educated, analytical and intelligent critique like the ones you'll find at FrankBlack.net. (insert rolling eyes here)"

WTF!?

Hi Charles, thanks for that! Terric guitar work on the podacasted Parasdiso show, by the way!

"Aw yeah, that's the good stuff!"

Charles, my lawyers are closely studying the pictures of you and Ding (which will be put on this forum in the next few days) violently assaulting me at the Werchter gig... but other than that, keep up the good work!

"It seems that some of the audience members knew the songs better than we did seeing how they were singing along to the Bluefinger tracks."

Hey! That was remig and I!

"I inadvertently showered people in the front row with sweat on some of the faster harder songs but they didn't seem to mind. I think they enjoyed it. People are weird sometimes."

Hmmm... that was us too.

Thanks for the blog and the music! You rock.

I loved looking at your blog and keep hearing so much great stuff about your shows. Bring Bluefinger to Canada!

Hi Charles,

Looks like you're posting about an hour before the Doornroosje show starts. Just waiting and killing time?
I regret I'm not there at the moment, (Nijmegen is about half an hour from here) but I decided to attend just one show this tour...

I really liked the Waterfront show, the tiny venue, the stage at kneeheight, FB solo, FB screaming, crawling and lying on the floor about two feet away from me, a totally different experience compared to the former tours.
And you were the bandmember I watched the most during the gig (you probably thought I was gay...), especially your guitar playing.
Now I know for sure the guitar tab of Freedom rock on this website is totally wrong (solo riff on the ninth fret, right?)

A few questions for you: usually bands are touring to promote a record that already has been released. Bluefinger won't be in the record stores until september. Any idea why that is?
And has Chuck T. told you about his plans for the future? Will the three of you be the new Catholics, more tours, more records together?

I really like the band how it is now, hope to get a chance to see you again during a tour in Europe

Hi Charles!

I see you've wasted no time in unveiling France's best kept secrets:
quote:
I think a "doner" is some sort of large rodent that the French people keep in their basements. Then they skewer them, shave off some of the meat and put it in Pita bread for a quick tasty snack. Here is a picture of one on a stick.

Yes sir, that is how we proudly resist McDonald's.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad I took that pic instead of freaking out and hiding under the stage.
