Posted - 09/09/2006 : 14:53:41 I just noticed that Mark Pickerel will be opening the Sept. 10th show. I saw him a few weeks ago and he was great.
It would be really cool, if he could do some more shows with Frank. They seem like a good fit and I think that Frank Black fans would dig what Mark's been up to, lately.
If Pickerel's name doesn't sound familiar, he played drums for the screaming Trees in the 80s and he even did some sessions with Nirvana, before Grohl. Now he's singer-songwritering his way through new records that are influenced by the same kind of classic americana that has fascinated Frank, of late.

Posted - 09/09/2006 : 19:30:57 I saw Screaming Trees and Tesla open for Poison when I was 12. I don't remember the drummer though, just the guitar player swinging his arm in a big circle.
