Posted - 08/25/2006 : 07:04:29 Am I making this up, or did I read somewhere on this board that tacos and beer are the semi-official pre-Frank Black show meal? Anyone else going to Omaha tomorrow night and want to join me for tacos and beer?

Posted - 08/29/2006 : 20:54:03 I'm sorry, but having grown up native to Southern California, I will go on the record stating any place North of California and East of the Western Texas border has no clue what the fuck a taco should taste like. Even Mexicans are clueless out thataway. Sorry.

Posted - 08/29/2006 : 16:56:39 Didn't have a chance to have the tacos, floop, but it's clear you can get 'em in Omaha. There's a significant Mexican population there, and plenty of taqerias and the like.
Star -- did you find out anything?

Yeah, I can move my comments to the Omaha thread. I thought my topic was a little broader, though -- I'm curious about the tacos and beer thing. You read everything, star -- do you remember anything like that?

Posted - 08/25/2006 : 07:30:54 A Google search yields a goodly number of Mexican joints in Omaha. I picked one for its FB-related name -- (the real) El Rancho -- and it's just a half-mile from the show. Seems good enough for me. Hope they have Bohemia. That's the best water Frank ever had. As for the quality of the tacos, I guess I'll find out. I'll let you know, floop.
