Hi all. Now that Frank's gigs are in full swing, with full band gigs to come later on, it would be great if we could capture some of those concerts. I'm sure many of you are taking photos with cameras or phones.
The gallery (http://www.frankblack.net/gallery/) is accessible there and the option and instructions for people to upload their pics are on that page. If you would like to show your photographs to the rest of the forum and have them stored, please use the upload function available.
ie Navigate to the Frank Black Live gallery and press upload at the top right then navigate to the file you want to upload on your PC. You can only upload one file at a time I believe, so you may want to cherry pick your best pictures for the rest of the community to see.
If you do upload, please make sure there is enough info for me to process the file..ie, which gig, when etc Even specific info about the picture would help me a lot. Also, feel free to drop me an email or post in this thread if you have uploaded some pics. They won't be available to view until I process them.
Photos from all Frank periods are welcome, but at the moment priority will be given to pictures from the current tour.
Any further questions, please ask.
[edit] I've created a folder for each individual gig, so anyone with any pictures can upload to the specific folder. Just follow the instructions above and navigate to Frank Black -> Live-> click on the gig the photos come from and then use the upload button at the right hand side. Thanks all.

fbc, thanks, but they are not there for some reason. Could you try again with those 12 pics and email me when you've done it please? Or just try a couple and let me know. Ta.
[edit again] - did you download them and upload from your PC or try and upload them direct from the url?
I'll look at onecontender's pics and see what I can do. [edit] - 1c's pics are already less than 200KB as far as I can tell.

Hey Llama! I uploaded (tried to ;) 12 pics yesterday, from the Cafe Du Nord 14th show.
Onecontender's pics i'm having trouble reducing down to under 200kb, for some reason. They're in one of my links above, if you have spare time to try yourself. Photoshop isn't treating me too kind.

Ok, folders all present for the August gigs, see upload instructions in first post. I've not had too many uploads so far, it's be great to see forum members use this facility.

To try and facilitate this, I'm going to create folders in the image gallery for each of the August gigs (sorry, I should have thought of this before) then anyone with pics to upload should be able to do it directly into the appropriate folder. I'll do that over the course of today.
I'll do that for the future gigs at the end of September/October closer to the time

Scruvs, I've just uploaded the 14th Cafe Du Nord pics (resized them to 640 x 480) without realising you're doing it, too. My apologies, i've only just caught up with this thread. I'll leave the 15th to you.
I'll upload onecontenders tonight, unless he jumps on board in time.

Oh then the ones from photobucket will have to do, because I don't know how to muck with digital photos to reduce their file size. The originals range from 350k - 800k depending on lighting and colors.

There's a 200k limit on the size of the photo, so anything above that will be rejected. Thanks scruvs.

I got no problem with that. If you give me a little time though, I can upload the originals which are 1600x1200 instead the reduced resolutions b/c of photobucket.

You might want to upload one at a time (gigswise) and let me know when you've done it. Then I can process them and let you know when I'm ready for more. The current FB gigs will take priority if anyone uploads some photos (c'mon people!). That way it's not so daunting for either of us.

The Catholics gallery has been disabled for upload seeing as they are no more. *sniff*
I'll see if I can enable it and post back here. Would you be thinking about doing it this weekend?

Are you still trying to use the ftp?
I've just uploaded a test file and it worked fine. If you upload an image more than 200KB in size, it rejects it.

John you can't do it through the FTP, sorry. You have to upload through the upload button on the top right of the gallery once you've navigated to your chosen directory.
Go here:

and upload each pic individually (sorry). You can see the upload button at the top right of the page next to favourites. Please be sure to give me as much information about the pics as possible. You could do that in the form given (ideally) or in a text file, but at least give all the pics a relevant name. For instance, 000345DSC will mean nothing to me. "NewportFolkFest2005" gives me an idea of what's going on. Hope this helps.

I tryed to got to the ftp and I can't log in. I tryed to do it one at a time and I go internal server error 500.
I have a ton of great photos that I took those 3 are just a sample and I would love to share, but it just not working....am I doing somthing wrong? A week ago I sent a pic of the Pixies at the Newport Folk Fest, and nothing......
