Why forbid recording equipment? I can appreciate not letting in some guy with mic booms and a soundboard, but I can't imagine they'd care about someone with a minidisc player or something. At least not when the artist is cool with it.

Yes. It is a real shame that recording won't be allowed. These new songs are too good not to be taken down for posterity sake.....

welcome, boydrinksgirl.

Unfortunately, I think Humphreys has rules forbidding recording equipment, so I don't think I'll be able to capture it and share with the forum.

I am brand new to this forum, so I would first like to say hello to everyone, and thank the staff for letting me in.

I saw this thread about Humphreys and could not help but purge my excitement that come that night, I will be dead center, front row, all thanks to my wife. Living in Wisconsin, I don't really get to see too much, so this DEFINATELY will make up for quite a bit!

Hope to meet some of you there.

will call means they hold your tickets at the door. you pay in advance (via credit card) and then get your tickets the night of (show id, credit card etc)

What is the story with the 'will call' ticket system? I'm thinking of going but can't get the tickets here in Ireland - bit dodgy getting the ticket at the venue same day as the gig.

Humphreys is in interesting place.
If you wanted to, you could pull up a boat or a kayak and check the show for free.
If you really wanted to go "balls out", you could reserve a suite that has a patio over
looking the venue.

I am so excited! $30 and walking distance from home home, I am there!
The venue is smaller too, will prolly sell out quickly.
I think they have a no dancing policy.
Or you can only dance like a hippie. :)

Mark my words, its an odd venue.
Like where rockers go to die.. or something.

you guys really think $30 is too much? i'd happily pay that much for a Frank solo show.

i'm more bugged by the venue. i'm not a fan of the whole "dinner theatre" style thing. and seeing him at the "Lexus theatre" seems kind of cheesy

Feh.. Don't get me wrong, great to see Frank comin' around. But $30 for one dude and an acoustic?

Awesome. It's been three years since I've seen Frank solo. This'll be awesome.

I'd love to do the dinner show, watch Frank and have a meal!

Humphrey's sounds nice, and they even have a 'Q' Band scheduled to play! ;)
