Happened to me at a Neil Young concert. He was playing "Needle and the Damage Done" quietly on acoustic and this fat drunk behind me kept screaming NEEEEEEIIIIILLL!!!! all through it. Dark.

Ha. Happened to me at a Bowie gig with a girl "singing" on Jean Genie, and yeah, I still remember it.

I don't think there's anything wrong with singing along, as long as it's predominantly you that hears it. If the performer can hear you, yeah... you're probably far, far too loud.

So if you're going to sing, cool. But do it for yourself/to yourself, not the crowd. They didn't pay to hear you.

My thoughts on the subject.

yeah, but sing for joy seemed like it was the closer,
he played headache just before that right?
the crowd was thiining out too, which was pretty lame,
if i can recall everyone was singing along with headache,
but yeah, i shut the hell up when he stopped the song,
it takes a great deal of restraint not to sing along with songs that good.

Dude, he was kind of pissed when he stopped "Sing For Joy", and then immediatley after he stopped someone yelled "Motorway to Roswell!", which seemed to really piss him off. Did you notice how the show ended really quickly after that?

Yeah, but don't be an idiot and spoil the show for those around you by trying to outsing the performer.

Bonedry, with a setlist like that and beers in the belly, i'm sure i would have been singing along with you.
What a night! And it happens all again tonight.

I'm glad the 'solo' gig turned out to be much more for you. Loved the posts. Be drunk more often!
Cult_Of_Frank Posted - 03/15/2006 : 09:13:15
Sam, there's another thread of photos. I'd also like a recording, so long as it's of FB and not the crowd singing.

The setlist is far more excellent than I would've dared dream and I am envious and now frothing at the... well, various places... in anticipation of his tour for Fastman Raiderman.

The setlist seems to date back to 1996. I'd give 5 years of my life someone else's life to hear an acoustic version of "Men in Black" or "Parry the Wind"

By the

So Bonedry did you get the recording or what? This sounds like an interesting show, pretty much encompassing the whole of the solo career to date. I'm soo jealous.

Ps any photos taken?

Jefrey Posted - 03/15/2006 : 02:48:27
Yeah, but he did know all the words. Unfortunately I was trying to tape the show....
vilainde Posted - 03/15/2006 : 02:25:19
So basically you're saying you were drunk and yelled crap all the time making Frank stop mid-songs?
