Posted - 03/02/2006 : 13:43:25 I'm the luckiest guy in the world. I planned a couple trips in March, but one returns before 3/14 and one leaves a couple days after 3/15. I have my tickets for both shows. See you there.

2 Reelers, I wore my frankblack.net shirt you gave me, but I didn't get any pictures with it. Maybe I can make it up to you with some pictures of The Man.

Ohhhh, my hair is getting good in the back. |

Definitely, 2 Reelers. I'll proudly wear the frank black shirt you made me, and I'll do my best to try to get you folks a taste of the show any way that I can.
Funny you mention that coffeecan. I happen to be in Florida tonight catching a couple Lucero shows before I fly home. They sing a lot of pretty songs, but I like that, and they're on the road alot, and I respect that. Between the whiskey, smokes, loud guitars, and music that I like, I always have a good time.

Hey HardCore,
After you finish your 4-show, 4-day drunk, (I guess it's been more than that when you add the travel days), sitdown at your computer and type, type, type, hold nothin' back, (Well, email me the x-rated part) let me know all about it.
I'll have a little reading party after you post, some PBR, Jim Beam, and menthols, and of course LUCERO and The Man.
Enjoy, you Worthy Son of a Bitch! CanMan.

Posted - 03/13/2006 : 21:00:23 wow Darwin, I've never heard LUCERO described as an overly self-concious (pretty boy) country alt. band before.
Those motherfuckers are some of the ugliest, unpretentious, hard-working, blue-collar, RedNeck son of a bitches I've come across in a long time (reminds me of early Skynyrd shows at the annual Tennessee State Fair)
I'm currently digging the hell out of their "That Much Further West" CD.
They'll be playing GuitarTown again on March 31st, and coming to a town near you soon!
Scruvs, you are my LUCERO hero, motherfucker!

I had almost the identical reaction. Didn't much care for the Lucero vocalist/front guy. Was surprised to see Lucero highly praised in a review of a recent album, at PopMatters.com I think it was. But, I hope you enjoyed the show and can share your thoughts. I'd love to hear that they impressed. |

Thanks for the input.

Unfortunately, I don't have any recording equipment, but hopefully I'll get a few pics. The only promise I can make though is that I'm going to drink, dance, and have a good time.

Man scruvs, if that isn't THE occasion to wear your (un)official fb.ne-shirt. Have fun you two.
In the meantime I try to keep my level of envy to a minimum. And hope for some european gigs.
