Anyone else remember "Mosh, Don't Pass the Guy" with Frank and the Catholics screaming "MOSH!!!" at the start of each bar (in the repeating part that starts after the drums at the start)? They did this at the Lucifer's Mill gig in January '86, and I REALLY want to find a bootleg where they did this. Anyone know of any?

Why the fuck aren't people allowed to crowd surf anymore? Is it an insurance issue?

I myself don't anymore, because the first time I did I lost a jumper, someone stole one of my shoes, and my hat. I hold a deep-seated belief that if I crowd surf again, I'll end up naked.

Recently, I've noticed security trying to stop moshpits as well.

Hi man, your the second Sir Rockaby here!! It seems Frank is just as liable to loose his cool as anyone else, but only when he's really pushed, that's the impression I get from things I've heard-that is to say, he sounds like a very calm kind of guy, but there's probably been a few incidents where some idiot(s) have wound him up.

Hi, all. Long time reader, first time poster. Just thought I would throw in my two cents here, as I was at the show in April of '96 in Portland at The La Luna. That WAS an odd show. Frank appeared to have been drinking a bit, there were lots of sound issues, and at one point in time, the venue asked the crowd to stop the "crowd surfing" Frank made a little announcement asking the crowd to stop, and they didnt. So another announcement was made that they would make Frank stop playing if the "surfing" didnt stop, and yet again a guy was riding the crowd. Frank stopped playing grabbed the guy and pulled him on stage by his foot and was about to get very physical, but security stepped in. Frank then threw down his guitar and stomped off stage, was gone for about 15 minutes and returned and apologized to the crowd for his unprofessional behavior. He then proceed to rock out. Ive seen Frank several time since then and have never seen him as animated as he was that night. All in all a very cool gig, but definately unusual.

Well, that's weird FBC! We posted on the same time. Should I remove my link, as your version seems better?

[EDIT] Just listening to it now, could'nt you say this is kind of an unreleased 'lyrics' version, like that version of Tossed live?! *chuckle!*

It's raining songs everywhere!

Nice one, Son. It sounds great.
I've spent many a minute trying to work out where he sings "Mosh!". Now I know.

Merci.

Only just noticed this--many thanks! I'll try and find that one...

The April 24/96 show definitely has it. I think they did the whole line with the music, kind of building it up: "MOSH......but DON'T.....PASS.....the GUY," it's pretty cool. That is one weird show, lots of sound problems and it sounds like partway through Frank got into it physically with some guy in the crowd.

Nothing is ever something.

I heard another show that featured that one but can't remember of the date, sorry...
Good luck!
