Check it out, great interview of The Man, thanks for posting FrankfanL and dayanara. http://forum.frankblack.net/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=13989

One of the things that caught my attention were these statements about touring for Honeycomb with the 'Comb Cats: "...but I think I would like to do a few residencies in a couple nice towns. A residency in New York or Chicago or London. Five nights. That kind of thing."...

So, similar to cities around the world competing to host the Olympics, which cities do you think are bested suited to host Frank&The'Comb Cats' residency thing?

Lyrics booklet every time, as hilarious as singing the wrong lyrics can be sometimes, it'll make my job a lot easier.

Frnk, is the possibility of a residency tour (as rumoured a while ago) still/actually a possibility?

*keeps fingers crossed*

I LOVE RESIDENCIES. would love to...we'll see.

I thought about it to and I concur with Chicago, or New Orleans, or somewhere warm with beaches and sun and sand that doesn't cost too much.

Ha, good post inkbob. I concur with your vote for Chicago and I, too, would gladly take a weeks vacation for such a thing.

And with a little advance notice I could cut back on the expensive medicine that I have to buy for my kids, wife and mother (just couldn't resist a little jab at those idiots in Washington D.C.) and save up some money for a weeks vacation over in your part of the world.

However, not so fast my friend concerning your dismissal of a residency in Munich with the 'Comb Cats. Chuck posted over in the "King Holds Court Thread" that after his babies get a bit bigger, He and the family may pack up and move to Ireland. Which I interpreted as an indication of his willingness to go wherever he and his family's hearts desire to be.

Anyway, welcome to fb.net.

ok, since i doubt a residency would ever happen here in munich, i would have to vote for chicago, and then take a weeks vacation and visit for the thing.

I said it once, I'll say it again. Chicago is Frank's kinda town. He could sleep over at Billy Corgan's...

I agree. If they are going to do a few nights in a row, no better place than Montreal.
We had the five night stand at the Horseshoe in Toronto and Frank broke the long standing five night attendance record. Maybe he can try and break that record with the 'Comb Cats?!

Well, if they are looking to stay out of the public eye, they should come to Milwaukee.....

the mini apple aka minneapolis aka the coolest city in the midwest and one of the coolest cities in the world.

Winnipeg, huh, what a coincidence fu, that just happens to be the city in which you live.

I agree that media attention is a high priority, and as Frank said, he's looking for a couple of nice towns. So, it would be appear that Montreal qualifies on both front, big media & nice town.

ya that would be great if he can line something up like that. these comb cats obviously don't need much practice but it would be nice if they did a few "warm up" shows in some more remote locations- like say winnipeg to get ready for the real big cities.

in all seriousness i think montreal would be a great city for a few shows if they decide to do a canadian gig. lots of good media attention going on right now with some real good bands coming out of there. plus montreal is one awesome city!
