Posted - 03/22/2005 : 20:50:56 You don't have too many listings for FB last year. Is that because he took a break(you mentioned he had a baby boy last year ... well, his wife did all the work lol), or have you not posted the Pixies gigs? Just wondering. Mr. Black must be one of the busiest guys in music! Looks like he's always performing.

Posted - 04/26/2005 : 19:14:42 Can I just make a little tiny suggestion for the gigiography? Frank did'nt play the SFX on January 27, 1996-it was actually the Olympia Theatre. I'm not being a smart ass, I know it's a tiny little detail(and he was actually advertised as appearing at the SFX center), just making a suggestion! It's just in the interest of obsessive minutia! (That was the only FB gig I went to, it took place at 12 AM on a freezing, icy night! |

which part(s) you wish true? the future or just about the songs bit?
I was talking about our future as frank Black fans... But I wrote a topic about that a few weeks ago... highly ignored or misunderstood...
I was made that way... I can't help it...

Posted - 03/23/2005 : 17:37:21 As long as the peripatetic Mr. Black adds a Catholics tour or two or ten to his future plans, I am happy.
I still believe in the excellent joy of the Catholics |

Posted - 03/23/2005 : 17:09:25 I like that about FB, and I think that the Grateful Dead had a pretty interesting way of doing things as well. a bit before my time, but I find it interesting that their success was based on word of mouth and a loyal fanbase than anything else. |

Posted - 03/23/2005 : 03:40:47 And if he's not performing he's probably writing.
If i ever fell into the music industry, i would definately use FB as my blueprint. Look around at todays new bands, check out their image, because they're songs don't hold up. Okay, they may have a 'killer' song or two, mtv and nme like them, but it's all just a fad. Frank transcends all this bullshit. It's about the songs, and Frank knows this. He's from the old school of rock. Where the music is the only thing that matters. I hope one day to be able to take my daughter to see him when she's older. Just thinking of the songs that haven't yet been written....the future's bright for the fan of Frank. |

Posted - 03/22/2005 : 22:35:43 I was just thinking yesterday, he's probably gonna turn into the new Bob Dylan!(Which is'nt such a bad accusation!) Yeah, he musta played hundreds of shows...I don't think The Pixies gigs can be counted on this site. Well, not under Frank's name, really!! |
