I gave the setlist, now does anyone have photos from the show? This was my third time seeing the Pixies this year (Boise and Coachella were 1 and 2), and this was their best performance I'd experienced. They are all even more together than back in April, and they all were exchanging lots of smiles and laughs to each other on stage. The main difference between this and the other two times I've seen them was the stage set-up and lighting. Behind the band were 4 big stage light stands that looked like twisted trees, and the lighting effects made the show much more intense. The strobing and intensity that accompanied Something Against You was a perfect match. During Wave Of Mutilation, the back wall of the stage had lighting effects being projected on it to make it look like waves, really cool effect. And man, was the band loud last night. I was up in the balcony, and my ears were still ringing this morning. All in all a great show. I new what kind of a setlist it would be, but the whole time somewhere deep inside me I was hoping that somehow they would do a "Salt Lake Suite" and bust out The Happening ("I was drivin' doin' nothin' on the shores of Great Salt Lake") and Palace of the Brine ("the starry skies and Utah mountains!!!"), but alas, no dice.
Pixies rock, I feel very lucky, grateful, entertained to have seen them 3 times on the "reunion tour", now bring on the new material and the normal ENTIRE career spanning tour. (yes, Bossanova and Trompe le Monde included) |

maybe it's because they're playing a lot of songs. I hope they keep those huge setlists but adding more ''new'' songs. |

According to the recent setlists, they have been doing more 1 and 2 song encores for some reason.

I was too busy rockin' in my seat.
Also, I wonder why Joey wanted to only play 1 song for the encore, instead of the band's suggestion of 3.
