And I just received this email from the Bennies:
<<The word is finally in. The Pixies have asked us to open for them at
the following dates:
11/30: Amherst, MA at the Mullins Center
12/4 & 12/5: Camden, NJ at the Tweeter Center
12/7 & 12/8: Washington D.C. at the Constitution Hall
Amazing times are ahead. We're also playing some shows of our own
soon. They are:
August 20: Brooklyn, NY at Galapagos Art Space. Int'l Cork, Inc.
(www.intlcork.com) presents The Bennies, Happy Anarchy, Cholo, and
Print. They are kind enough to help us put out our new album, Turn
the Hourglass Sideways. Advanced copies of the record will be
available at this show. This will also be the first show with our
newest and hopefully permanent drummer Don Mcaulay. Things did not
work out with Riley but Don came to our rescue and turned out to be
an unexpected but welcomed addition to our band.
October 23: Pianos in New York, NY. American Laundromat Records have
added two of our songs to their latest compilation called Transistor.
