I hope hope you're right
Always hated the venue because it was that big I thought it was...

I'm bored with the valleys and bored by the peaks. So I bought a ticket to the Pixies

phew,
I also thought 5500 not 15000
I was quit scared!

The Pixies will play in the Heineken Music Hall, which is a venue, there's room for 15,000 people and it's sold out...

The HMH (luckily) hold about 5000 people, not 15000!

See you there, front of stage, left hand side!

twas great, we were at the side of the stage at the pj harvey concert (which wasn't really great), and after that show just everybody wanted to go in front of them... I was lucky enough to see them from a great position just in frot of the big tv-camere/pole thingy..

The pixies played good
almost perfect
they screwed up the ending of cactus
but over all they played very thight
Frank had a great voice
his scream was so great
I heard Danko Jones that morning and Frank is much better
(in screaming)

the setlist was as ussual
nothing to report about it
it sure looked like they liked to play yesterday
lots of happy faces!

The festival itself was good
a bit too many people for only 2 stages
but ok, I'm a selfish bastard and want all the bands for myself
I saw Wilco and Jeff Tweedy's voice blew me away
he is one damn good singer! Unfortunately, my girl and I left our great spots in front of the stage to go to PJ Harvey, who we didn't like anyway. After PJ Harvey (she played the mainstage) we tried to get to the front for the pixies but when we arrived it was so pushy and we couldn't actually see the damn stage that well. So I thought: FUCK OFF! I'm going back!
So I saw the pixies from far,far away, where the crowd wasn't that excited as me, although one or two guys behind me were really into it, I gave them the url of this website. Right in front of me were some stupid people who kept looking behind when I sang along with the lyrics or jumped and stuff, the only knew Here Comes Your Man.

I could see their faces on 2 videoscreens, so I must say I did catch all the details, (like the stick cathing, etc) but I read all the reviews on this site and I heard lots of disclive recordings, so no special things for me, maybe tommorow
wish me luck!

note to the chicken : even though i've seen FB and the Breeders many times, i'd never had the chance to see the pixies live, having discovered them the year of their break-up. So obviously, this being my first pixies gig i can only be Amazed!
i would love to see them in a proper concert, just them for much longer...
Who knows?

i also think the pinkpop show was better, but i liked it a lot too yesterday...my 2 best shows this year :)

I disagree, I found them neither dissapointing nor uninspired. Frank's singing was perfect. Way too short!!!. One hour is nowhere near enough!!!
But then, I wasn't at Pinkpop...

Too bad I didn't see you over there Yop.
Well, I found them a bit dissapointing, uninspired.
The Pinkpop show was definately better.
But it's your thread, so the first reports of the Werchter show should be yours

See you in Amsterdam!
