Posted - 06/04/2004 : 05:32:50 and it surprises me. I'm gonna see them on Monday in Paris, in 3 days, and I guess I should be very excited about it. But it's not the case. I haven't listened to a Pixies record in months (except the boots from the US shows), and yesterday I called the dentist to make an appointment on Monday, cause I had totally forgotten about the gig. I think I don't care anymore about the Pixies songs I've already heard a billion times. I want to hear Honeycomb, damnit! Now I know the concert is going to be the best one I've ever seen, and that on Monday afternoon I'll be super excited, but for now I hardly think about it. That's weird.

Posted - 06/04/2004 : 07:07:17 That's how I felt too... 4 months ago. But since the first reviews came in, I can't wait for the 2 best gigs of my life! |

Posted - 06/04/2004 : 06:53:13 Whoa! Thanks, Frog. That's exactly how I feel. I thought I was too old to go to concerts and it made me sad. Oh, and I hope you'll feel better on Monday, you seem to cough a lot...

Posted - 06/04/2004 : 06:39:03 I wouldn't say I don't care - the Pixies were among the idols of my youth and I never saw them in concert - but <cough> well, I still like their music but <cough> well, let's face the truth <cough>
they aren't the idols of my youth anymore, cuz I'm not young anymore.
I'm a big boy now.
And big boys prefer Frank Black's solo albums.
And I'm sure Frank Black himself prefers Frank Black's solo albums.
And I know I'll be much more excited when Honeycomb comes out.
Please keep this to yourself. |

Posted - 06/04/2004 : 06:30:19 I was the same Villainde. Yesterday I was very concerned about the amount of cash that I have spent since being back in the UK, and was feeling very very stressed and not at all excited... but then I went to Brixton and I realised that it was all worth coming home for. Man, they will blow you away.... I just wish that I could have booked a few more tickets!
Just the good ole boys, never meaning no harm, that all you ever saw been in trouble with the law, since the day they were born |
