I hope this isn't one of those replies with an "Oh dear god we shouldn't know if Frank is married or engaged because that's prying into his personal life" connotation.

If it's not, that's cool.

I was just making an observation. I don't think it's a sin to know if your favorite musician is married. It's obviously not crucial to know, but it's not obsessive or anything.

Sorry, didn't mean to go off.

actually it was
and it wasn't
Just don't know why I posted it
sometimes I do care about his personal life
most of the time I don't
I'm not sure if I would even like Frank Black personally

They played Broken face on the 2nd night. I don't have the setlist, sorry, I was too busy enjoying the music. But they didn't play anything new, I think.

You had me at "Los Angeles"
billgoodman Posted - 05/27/2004 : 05:18:17
yes benji, me too

I don't care what songs they play
but it would be cooler if they played 3 other songs
every night

kromkamp Posted - 05/26/2004 : 12:08:27
Duh, never mind, if 'Break My Body' is true then thats a new 'un... Too bad its not a particularly interesting new one though :-)

It was rather awesome. Didn't look good in the beginning, as the show wasn't sold out (came pretty close though) and when I got to the venue at just after 7pm the place looked pretty empty. The warmup band, Ghostigital (an experimental hip-hop/something band led by Einar Örn of the Sugarcubes) started at 8, and one of their members was a 12 year old kid with a toy trumpet who completely stole the show :)

The Pixies came on just after 9, to a maddening applause. Started out with Bone Machine and Break My Body, but I can't give you the full setlist as I was too busy being ecstatic to pay attention. All I know is that neither River Euphrates or Winterlong were there. The crowd was a bit odd, even some people right up front stood completely still the whole time, while myself and a few others went crazy behind them. They went off stage maybe an hour and a half later (wasn't really paying attention to the time) and came back on for the encore which was In Heaven - Wave of Mutilation uk surf - Into the White.

There were a bit too many overly drunk teenagers present, who all had horrible voices and tried to sing along with "cariboooouuuuuu, caribooooooooouuuuuuuu", but in spite of that it was a pretty great show. Quite possibly the greatest one i've ever seen (although it faces some hard competition from Kraftwerk at the same venue less than a month ago)

whoa, Dave went bald.
Probably a better idea, considering his previous 'do
