Posted - 05/14/2004 : 11:50:15 Just heard on the local Radio, that the Pixies are playing Boutwell Auditorium, in Birmingham AL on Oct. 12. I haven't seen anything online to confirm this, but I thought i would pass this along anyhow.

Posted - 05/22/2004 : 15:27:27 PIXIES are confirmed and on-sale for Boutwell Auditorium in Bham on Tuesday, Oct 12. $35 for floor and $32.50 for the rest of the house.
A last minute promoter change from Clear Channel to independant Rival Concerts (also promoter of Fox Theatre shows in Atlanta)caused the on-sale without advance promotion. Great seats are still available...but get them quick...advertising of the show will begin on Monday. |

Posted - 05/22/2004 : 09:15:12 ticketmaster.com lists the Birmingham show as being on sale today. I just purchased some.
Looks like there are several other new dates listed, too. |

Posted - 05/21/2004 : 20:53:58 That's so good to hear! Maybe I won't worry with Chicago after all. We'll see in a couple of weeks. |

Posted - 05/21/2004 : 12:34:45 OK, i just talked to a much nicer Gentleman at Boutwell, He said there was a mix-up with the concert promoters, and, well long story short, the show will still happen on Oct. 12th, but tickets won't go on sale for another couple of weeks. So that is the update.

Posted - 05/21/2004 : 08:50:00 Far too many of us southerners are displaced in the frozen tundra of MN. Next time, don't ask them if tickets are available. TELL THEM you are coming on saturday whenever YOU get a chance to get over there and pick up you damn tickets. While you are there, I would also tell them you will be here 5 minutes before the doors open so somebody better keep the back door open for you. good luck

Posted - 05/19/2004 : 15:49:14 I've turned down my sensitivity meter, no harm, no foul. I was thrown off by you're living in MN, Joshua. So my Bad.
I called the Concert Hall today, and they said, and they were not too nice about it either, that the show was unconfirmed and that they didn't know if the tickets would go on sale Sat. or not. So who knows. There was a big Hulabaloo about it on the 14th, now the crickets are churping... |

Posted - 05/18/2004 : 15:27:38 Tickets go on Sale This Sat. at 10 am, but i haven't seen anywhere to buy them online yet. Not even Ticketmaster, so i don't know what that says.
And Joshua, was that really necessary? Or do you insult all posters like this. |

Posted - 05/18/2004 : 07:28:34 I hope that's true, 'cos I was already planning a trip to see them in Chicago in November. Free tickets, but that's a long drive in the snow! I live in Montgomery, so Birmingham would be a breeze! |
