Again, my apologies for all the delays. We went from walking our orders downstairs and stuffing them in a blue mailbox to hiring a logistics company to deal with over 10,000 orders. I am in the middle of making sure that in the future we are a heck of a lot better at doing this much much faster. |

Posted - 05/13/2004 : 20:41:07 The discs I'm waiting for, the Winnipeg show, were recorded a month ago tomorrow. What do those three employees DO all day anyhow, other than come up with new excuses? I know they don't return e-mails. Why don't you bush leaguers HIRE A TEMP OR TWO? |

Posted - 05/13/2004 : 18:05:58 i'm going to give them a piece of my mind if i don't have my cd's soon. i've had it! oh and get this--they say refunds are not an option. well i've got news for them: if i don't get the damn things soon, they're going to be sued if they don't refund my money. hey, maybe we could all do some class action thing... |

Posted - 05/13/2004 : 17:54:54 It seems rather shady and unprofessional for disclive to charge for priority, yet ship standard. I don't know why they just didn't charge more for the cd, and then send them priority as stated, if they really needed to make the money off of shipping. |

Posted - 05/13/2004 : 15:55:45 I just got my first combination order. The second one that was ordered, 2 weeks after the first.
I am not happy that we paid a lot of money for priority mail and this was shipped STANDARD MAIL! That means REALLY cheap. So they are making a LOT of money off us paying for priority.
I work for the post office and you might be interested to know that since this package was shipped "standard" mail and does not say "return service requested". That is they would pay to get it back if it had a bad address or needed to be forwarded it would be garbage!!! Yes if this package could not be delivered for whatever reason it would be considered JUNK and may end up in a postal auction since it does have some value. Normally undeliverable packages like this are tossed. It is not our fault they only paid for the cheapest shipping option. I would guess they paid mayby $2, most likely less to mail these 4 shows.
You may also like to know the tracking number they keep talking about has nothing to do with the post office. It is only the date that "smart mail" gets it and puts postage on it. Not when it gets into the post office mail stream or when the carrier delivers it. So in fact there is NO tracking at all.
Now mayby this batch was sent out incorrectly and other orders were actually sent out priority mail with a number that can be tracked on it? I certainally hope so!! |

Posted - 05/13/2004 : 13:19:01 What's funny, is that people who bought multiple cd's paid the same per cd - shipping as those who purchased single cd's, yet they've had to wait the longest to get their cd's. I assume Disclive just wants to make as much money as possible, hence make money off the multiple cd/postage costs. |

Posted - 05/13/2004 : 08:22:25 Just got off the phone with Heather at DiscLive. She was VERY friendly and appologetic for the delays. She said that ALL combination orders, which they were working on currently, will be shipped by Monday (that's May 17th). She went on to explain that they are a very small company, only three people work there and they are working as fast as they can.
What actually sparked me to post this message, was, at the end of the conversation, she mentioned that they are trying to get the process down so they will be ready for the fall tour. Yes, the fall Pixies tour.
She threw in, in closing, "You are the first person we've actually told." Whether that's actually true or not doesn't matter, the good thing is, we'll be able to hear excellent SBD recordings of the next leg of the tour. YAY.

Posted - 05/12/2004 : 16:35:52 I hate the fact that they make you wait like this. You have no idea if your order's been shipped or if it's going to be shipped soon... it always says shipping soon, never changes what's the point in having that if it's not going to track anything.
We say we care, but look away. |
