Okay, I have been waiting patiently for the full fall tour to be announced. I didn't panic back when then announced 11 shows in places like Moosefucker, YK since I intuitively knew there would be shows in major markets later on. (no offense to the fine citizens of Moosefucker).

But now, it's getting a little bit impractical. Shows are selling out and people who live in markets that are more in-between (Pittsburgh) than locks (e.g. Boston) need to know where the shows will be happening so that we don't buy tickets for shows in cities that are 5 or 6 hour drives away if there will be closer ones. I didn't buy a ticket in Toronto figuring there would be a DC or Cleveland show if not one Pittsburgh. Now, I am getting a little nervous wondering whether I should pick up a Philly ticket - just in case. I know plenty of people on this board happily traveled at least that long and far to see them. But why should we drive 6 hours when we can drive 10 minutes?

This rolling out a few dates at a time is not very considerate of fans. It's a huge pain and worse, there is no reason for it. I wish the band's management would just let us know all of them and be done with it.

which is why I didnt buy tickets for Toronto...I knew there was a big hole in the dates between there and Phillie, got my tickets for Montreal....seriously, those other dates should be out by now....get it together.

bluedirt: Who says there's going to be a "next time"? All the more reason not to worry about a little drive and just go!

If you buy tickets to a show you end up not going to I'm sure you can easily sell them to another Pixies fan you know, who will make the drive, or on this forum. I easily got rid of tickets I ended up not needing for the warm up tour on here and to people I personally know. I'm sure it will be the same for the Fall tour, especially if you have good seats.

Wimp. I went to Moosefucker (fourth show) and it was fantastic. I bought Toronto tickets when they went on sale, and then Montreal and now Boca Raton. If they come to NY (other than Lollapalooza) I will see them here too! Just buy some tickets and go. If you aren't as willing to raid your kids' college fund as I am (as a consolation I take them with me) you can tone it down a bit, but surely you can road trip for 6 hours, can't you?

fwiw, I am aware that shows are still being booked and that is undoubtedly accounting for some of the problem. But you can book shows without putting earlier confirmed bookings on sale until everything is finalized.

p.s. I'm still going no matter what.

I have to agree with John. It's very inconvenient. Hopefully, next time will be a little more organized in the presentation department.
