Seriously. I can see making a few shekels off the disclive discs, but I think this guy is being totally unrealistic. Any bidders here? ;) |

an autographed CD (if it weren't made out to you) is, IMHO, as significant as a .bmp of the cover. |

I am a dumbass. I met Kim, Frank and david, (and shook hands with Joey) at the Vancouver show (friday) and I had my disclive cd's with me.I wasn't even expecting to meet them. They just walked out the back door! I was standing there smoking my joint and a couple of kids ran up to them and asked them to sigh their stuff. One kid had like ten Pixies things he wanted sighed.I thought, what the hell and asked them to sigh my sticker of the OPENING BAND.I felt like such a dumbass.I just reached into my bag and grabbed the frist thing I felt. The reason I had A sticker of the opening act is because when I was smoking they started talking to me and gave me a sticker.I am still kicking myself.

Posted - 05/10/2004 : 14:56:02 I don't think Frank likes to do autographs.Rightfully so, he seemed a little annoyed but that it just what I thought. If I meet them again, I'm gonna ask them to toke up with me.I know Kim would want to.I would probably feel like a groupie though. |

Posted - 05/10/2004 : 10:22:24 HAHA, I have a signed picture from Ian Astbury, but he spelled my name wrong, I'm "JON", no "H", I always considered selling it, probably wouldn't be too hard to find a "JOHN".
Stay tuned for signature change at 400 posts. |

Good point, Bill. What's the point in buying an autographed CD off ebay? The point of an autograph is to show that you were there and you met the guys and got it signed.

That's funny. I just came across my signed David Lovering, phenomenalist photo the other day which says. "Kevin, Magically yours."
But seriously, seeing that the Pixies are currently on the road, and are very approachable, what is this guy thinking? Demand goes down if supply is up. |

Posted - 05/09/2004 : 01:42:13 this is weird the only way I like autographed cd's is when I was the one who let the artist sign

Posted - 05/08/2004 : 20:27:46 Give me a freakin' break! I got a signed limited edition EP of the Martinis for free when I completed my Pixies collection last week..that's what you get from a true fan. The salesperson at the shop I was dealing with had a picnic with the Pixies and their record label reps in the early nineties and he also sat down for an hour with Frank and had a drink a few years ago...now that's what I call service :-) Someone needs to slap this guy around. Personally I would not sell my Disc Live CDs and if I did they would not be above cost. Nobody will pay that price, no sane person at least.
