Posted - 04/27/2004 : 07:32:32 I TAKE IT BACK...there seems to be a good sized hole between Montreal and Phillie so I guess they will pay the east-coast a visit afterall! I hope I didnt give the impression that I hate iceland...Sugarcubes are among their finest exports. I hope to one day basque in the green-hilled loveliness that is the Land of Ice. ROCK ON ICELAND! |

Posted - 04/27/2004 : 05:26:32 prozacrat, if you like to be here when the day's short, come here around november-december-january. But now the sun's up pretty long, sunset is around 9-10pm I think, and sunrise is around 5am or something. And the day will be even longer when the Pixies will have their show.
The year's longest day is in June, when the sun doesn't go down, and the year's shortest day is December 21, when the day is only 3-4 hours long.

Posted - 04/26/2004 : 23:24:38 Come on, how many tours stop in Iceland? The guys deserve a break there! Not to mention the bitter cold and the long, lonely hours characteristic of island life.

Posted - 04/26/2004 : 21:23:18 That's where my band is going to record next. Is Iceland prone to those month-long bouts of darkness? Cause we record more efficiently and at our best at night. We'd get a lot more done if the sun didn't rise every day.
