Posted - 04/24/2004 : 07:42:03 Anyone have info regarding passes to the festival? 3 day passes went on sale last night for 70.00. I want to make sure I'll be able to purchase a single day pass at a later date.
Help is needed- this is the only Texas show!!! |

Posted - 04/24/2004 : 17:45:32 Thanks, guys- we'll probably go with the one day pass, unless someone else shows up in the lineup that I want to see. Weird that they wouldn't post the lineup when the 3 day tix went on sale...
The official website sucks- isn't even updated with a preliminary limeup. I got my info from pollstar as well. |

Posted - 04/24/2004 : 12:42:31 I went ahead and got my 3 day pass last night--but the "official" list of bands playing won't be available until June. It's been strangely quiet here in Austin, I haven't heard an official peep about who's playing in the local media. The 140 bands are set, but the promoter won't release the band names yet--check pollstar.com for a very small list at this point. Last years shows had a few mainstage headline bands (REM is the only one I remember right now) who were suppose to play for at least an hour and a half.
FYI--The main difference on 1 day passes and the 3 day pass is 3 day pass holders can go in and out of the venue at will during the ACL Fest. Single day ticket holders cannot leave the venue site--So, if ya show up at 12 noon on Saturday, you're stuck inside until you've seen the band we're both hoping for (don't worry food and drink will be available--for a fee!) For me I doubt I'll stay the whole time--or want to see all the bands. |

Posted - 04/24/2004 : 10:20:11 last year, they sold one day passes for $30 or 35. they'll probably do that again, but i don't know for sure. i personally would buy the three day pass and did last night, but that's just me. |
