We're flying from Omaha Nebraska to Oregon to see them next week.

Anyone else going a long way to see them?

I just bought tickets to Chicago too, which isn't a CRAZY drive, but still like 7 hours.

Fernanda,

Thanks for your help, all of the brazilian people are very nice, many people offer me to help me if i have any doubt. ;)

I'll fly from Santiago to Sao Paulo on May 6th, and then i'll take a bus to Curitiba on May 7h so I hope to be there all the Festival with others brazilian friends of FB.net.

i just added to my messenger if you want to speak with me. I think it would be cool if all the members of fb.net that are going to go to the festival, could meet before the festival starts.

Regards
Christian

I'm in San Francisco. Flew to Vancouver (my hometown) to see the 4/23 show: 2 hr flight. Driving Thurs 4/29 to the Davis show: 1.25 - 1.5 hour drive. No big deal really. However, Vancouver was a show that I couldn't miss as I was there 12 years ago when they played their last gig. I'm confident that I would've done anything and everything, including hitchhiking or crawling from half way around the world, to have been there for one of their shows.

I live in LA, so I'm travelin about 3 to 4 hours from LA to Indio. So I'm not that bad.

I'm walking over the McDonald Theatre--about ten minutes walking, if I stop to smell flowers.

I'll be getting a lift for 30 minutes in June ;-) but I know someone who is flying out from Ireland to go to Coachella! Can anyone beat that?

We start driving on Friday. L.A. to Boise. Nice drive up the 395, Then a little party in Reno on Saturday, Crank up to Boise Sunday. Then Monday I have a couple hours of work in eastern Oregon. Then blast to Portland to visit some friends, Mon-Tuesday. You can see where this is going. Eugene, thank goodness they added the 2nd show so we get a car-less day in Portland! AFter the Wednesday show, some kayakking on the coast near Florence. A relaxing afternoon before we start the rocket back to L.A.Thursday night for a little gig I have late Friday night. Saturday sleep in, but not too late cause Coachella is 3 hours away. Our camping tent should be pretty dirty by then, but at least we can stay put for a couple days! Then a huge amount of work the following week to pay for it all. Wish us luck - please! Anybody want a ride along the way?

I drove from Brookings, South Dakota to Minneapolis to pick up a ticket. Then the next week did the same trip to see them there, then to Winnipeg right after that, and then from Winnipeg (right after the show) back down to Sioux Falls, South Dakota just in time for my surgery! I've got a nice picture of me post-op with my new hoodie draped over me. I know that that isn't that far, however, if I can score two tickets to one of the shows in Iceland on May 25 or 26th, I'd like to go to that one. It'd be worth it.

Flying from Ottawa to Winnipeg, drove from Winnipeg to Saskatoon (only to not get a ticket, which sucked), Saskatoon back to Winnipeg, flew from Winnipeg back to Ottawa, then will fly Ottawa to Vancouver, then back. It will always have been worth it.

I'll be driving 335.7 miles from Ashland, Ohio to Chicago, Illinois....hopefully they'll come to Ohio too and I'll get to see them more...that'd be cool..

Am flying in the middle of a family vacation from Crete to London England via Athens for 2 nights at the Brixton Academy then back out again - it's cost me a sodding fortune just to see them. It's gotta be worth it though cos they might call it a day after this & i would've hated to have missed em

Flying from Dallas to Palm Springs just for the joyous occasion of seeing Black Francis and company open for Radiohead at Coachella, a scenario I never thought possible. I've additionally got friends flying out from Conneticut (i KIN SPIEL) and Oregon, and if I get extraordinarily lucky will attempt to see them again when I'm back in the UK later this year.

Having to catch two connecting flights and stand in the desert sun for twelve hours is nothing for the chance to see both those bands rock the fuck out. Back in the latter part of last year I jokingly said if they played at the same festival I'd sell my soul for the chance to see it.

...I DIDN'T BLOODY MEAN IT!!!

I currently live in germany, near where the hurricane festival will take place, and I came from Bolivia (south america), I guess so far I am the one who's traveled the farthest!!!

I already got my ticket, but unluckíly they are not headlining the festival and have only a one-hour spot before placebo and david bowie.

I guess it is better than nothing at all ... I've come so far I've lived this long .... At least I should stop and say hello!

soli2d Posted - 04/19/2004 : 21:37:26
6 minute travel time for me if you include parking and walking to the venue door.
Luxowell Posted - 04/19/2004 : 10:59:34
I've never been to eugene, but from what i've heard, there is NO shortage of bars and fun things to do.

Me and the wife are staying at a bed and breakfast like 2 blocks from the show

I'm flying from Washington, DC to Davis (Sacramento) to see them. Luckily, I'm visiting some friends of mine out there too so the lodging side is taken care of! A good chance to see one of my favorite bands, and visit some good friends while I'm at it.

Chislic and I drove from 36th and Winnetka in New Hope to the Fine Line on 1st Ave. and 4th St. in Minneapolis.

Wherever Passion goes, I will follow...
