Posted - 04/18/2004 : 13:12:36 What is the crowd like exactly? Do people push and stuff? I am hoping not. I realize that in every place the crowd is different but I just wanted to know what the general crowd is like. |

Posted - 04/19/2004 : 02:07:11 Nah..everyone was old.
There were a few people trying to get to the front but mostly everyone stood their ground. It was the "loosest" floor show I ever attended. I was 10 feet from the stage and didn't have to touch anyone I didn't want to. |

Posted - 04/18/2004 : 19:01:49 Ok thanks. I can understand some pushing, but I was just worried about the degree of it. I hate being squished...I am so short that when I do get pushed into someone; its a tall persons ass. :( |

Posted - 04/18/2004 : 18:43:27 yeah, i'm pretty short. i did actually notice a couple younger people too, but i'd bet dollars to doughnuts i was the youngest one there
p.s. i wouldn't want to see mindless self indulgence on the same stage as the pixies anymore than you would, tom |

Posted - 04/18/2004 : 18:03:26 Were you perchance really short, too Lola? I noticed some young fresh faces around me, many of which were shorter people as well. I used to be short until after enough concerts I decided enough is enough.

Posted - 04/18/2004 : 17:54:06 Mindless Self Indulgence mentioned on a Frank Black / Pixies forum next thing you'll tell me MSI will play on the same stage as the Pixies.
Coachella May 1, 2004, but that's as close as they'll get to really opening up for them. |

Posted - 04/18/2004 : 17:08:01 Yeah, my friend was weird about me going alone, because he thought they're all be voilent etc (i'm pretty sure the last concerts he went to were primus, msi and marylin manson)
But everyone there was really nice. I was afraid I was going to look really out of place, because I'm a lot younger than the typical pixies fan I had in my head but... while I still think I didn't "fit in" nobody was rude at all. People there were really nice. |

Posted - 04/18/2004 : 16:18:29 In Minneapolis it seemed like some people wanted to do a bit of moshing, but thankfully it never happened. There was some pushing, which wasn't much fun since I was in the middle down front and had a broken collarbone, but hey, I put me there and deserved whatever push/shove I received. Winnipeg was much better, since there was seating all around. I was towards the back on the floor, though. So I'm not sure what may have been happening towards the front.

Posted - 04/18/2004 : 13:24:09 depends on the venue style, if it's GA, there's going to be some pushing for sure, reserved, not at all
