Yeah, I think I'll come to the second show too.. My friend bought 10 tickets for it (!) so I'll probably get one from him.
mattb Posted - 05/11/2004 : 06:55:34
Chris, you should totally come! Show Irene who's in charge and just tell her we're going. That what I did with Denise for Montreal ;). I was thinking about going to Chicago too but I'm not sure yet. Our original plan was Chicago->Detroit->TorontoX2->Montreal but we have to plan out financing for it and stuff. With the pixies shows and moving we're pretty wiped out financially and a bit in the hole. Which Chicago date do you have tickets for? Maybe I'll buy the tickets now and if we end up not going I'll just sell them after. You should do the same for Toronto just in case because they'll probably sell out soon. The first show with 9000 tickets is already sold out.

Manny you can get tickets online but not through ticketmaster. You have to go to ticketpro.ca and get them there, that's where I got them. Are you going to come to the second show too?

It's a great idea.. my Toronto tickets (first night) arrived. Still planning on drive from Montreal to Toronto for the show..

I didn't get Montreal tickets yet actually, because I couldn't buy them online like with ticketmaster.
porkbone1 Posted - 05/10/2004 : 19:21:16
Matt at least you should try and come to the Chicago show on the 16th. I will be there with a friend of mine from Minneapolis. I wanted to take you up on your offer to come to Toronto, but I'm still not sure yet. I might, but don't know if Irene could come or not. Anyway, got some time to plan this.

We were talking about this in the Montreal thread and it is still early but would anyone be up for meeting up before the show? We did it in Winnipeg and I think everyone had a good time.

I'm still debating taking a whole week off and doing a string of shows, maybe Chicago, Detroit, Toronto and Montreal. So much money though. With all the disclive stuff and the travelling the pixies are taking quite a financial toll

Simply a figure of speech. Sorry. In Winnipeg, I had a few before the concert and sobered up just in time. Then afterwards I went and had a few more. Please don't think that I would ever want to ruin my or anyone else's experience. Sorry if I came off that way. There's just a good time to be had if the timing is planned appropriately.
iPOTS Posted - 04/20/2004 : 18:04:33
you wait all this time for them to get backk together and your gonna waste the experience by not remembering it.

ok man just don't get near me and ruin my time
Spiral~Daisy Posted - 04/20/2004 : 18:01:10
why would you want to be drunk? Wouldnt you love to be sober to experience it all? :)
jvince Posted - 04/20/2004 : 16:04:53
Holy shit! 9000 tickets in under six days. That's going to be one hell of a concert. I look forward to drinking and trying to stand up in that one.
monkeyhole Posted - 04/20/2004 : 13:45:55
I'm presently contemplating how early I should get there. I don't want to be waiting too early but at the same time with 9000 people, you can't really predict when they're going to show.

AHHHHHHHH!
Spiral~Daisy Posted - 04/20/2004 : 12:47:41
yay sold out! Thats gonna be a crazy show. Please dont push too hard guys! lol
Manny Posted - 04/20/2004 : 11:38:56
Thanks for the invite Matt. This will be GTs (good times) in November.

9000 tickets! Whoooo! and I can't believe that's general admission. Crazy.

kromkamp Posted - 04/20/2004 : 09:09:03
Looks like its sold out now.... Not bad for 9000 tickets.

If they play Montreal you're welcome to stay at my place.

Dude, same here. If you do come to Toronto and need a place to crash you're completely welcome at my place. Jvince is coming as well from Ottawa. You guys can fight over the couch! That'll be fun to watch. I told porkbone he can crash too but he hasn't said if him and his wife are up for the trip up yet. I'm planning to have all my floor space taken up with pixies fans in November.

Manny, you're from Montreal? I thought you were from the states or something. We should go for some beers before the Toronto show if you go.

I can't believe you can still buy tickets for the Toronto show. I went on ticketmaster and put in 50 and they let the order go through to the purchase page. I think lots of people don't know about it yet or every ticket would have been gone already.

It was an ordeal getting tickets for this. I had to wake up at 8:00 am after going to sleep at 3:00 the night before because of the Winnipeg show. They had no internet access in the hotel so I had to take a $10 cab ride to the nearest internet cafe which was way out of downtown. It looks like I went through that for no reason though since tickets didn't sell out in minutes like they did for every other show.
